Passive and Active Gas Venting to Structures

The Primary element in a gas protection system, is the the gas collection and dispersal system.A gas dispersal layer is installed below the concrete slab. This layer may either be a blanket or strips at predetermined centres dependant upon the site specific gas data. Alternatively, if the proposed structure has an undercroft, then this can be used for ventilation. Whether a blanket, strips or open void ventilate the underneath of the structure they would all still require to integrate with a series of vent terminations along the elevation of the structure.

All the venting terminations below have been manufactured within SEL Environmental's in-house fabrication facility. If there is a requirement for inconspicuous vent terminations around a structure whether ground level or elevated, SEL can manufactured these elements to satisfy any Client requirements on a project specific basis. SEL are always actively developing new and improved ways of providing vent inlets and outlets.
