SEL can provide a range of expanded cell and rigid plate systems that improve slope stability, reduce surface erosion, and improve load bearing capcity of low bearing soils.

Perforated expanded cellular confinement systems feature an engineered pattern of perforations in the cell wall. The perforations provide increased frictional interlock with coarse aggregates, crushed rock and concrete.

In vegetated systems, the perforations increase root lock-up, creating a more stable vegetated mass and overall healthier soil environment. The perforations allow lateral drainage through the system making them ideal for incorporation within a pervious surface.

Grass / gravel reinforment systems can be laid to form an exceptionally durable, permanently porous, high load bearing paving structure. It can be backfilled with either grass or aggregate providing a permanently porous wearing surface.
